Finally, a room reveal!!! I’m going to apologize in advance for the grainy photos on this post but this is theeeee smallest little bathroom that just makes photographing impossible, even with the good camera, so these photos just don’t do it justice. This guest bathroom, which is in the back family room/guest room, was one of the ugliest before’s we have ever seen. It had brown carpet, fifty shades of beige wallpaper, outdated 90’s fixtures, and a tiny little diagonal corner shower. We were pretty excited about this space because 1. it has a cute little window so we knew it would get some good light and 2. it was an actual full bath, so when guests stay, they would have a whole space of their own! Our family room has a pull out couch & tv/fireplace, and once it’s finished it is going to be a super cozy room that we hope all of our family & friends will get to enjoy!! We spend tons of time in the family room now for movie nights, we will share that space with you very soon too!
Ok back to the bathroom, here is the before.
And our almost finished after!!!
So hard to believe it is even the same space!
We completely gutted this bathroom down to the studs to replace all of the electrical, and while we had the walls opened, we had our contractors put in a pocket door (one of the best ways to maximize space in a tiny room). We used white subway tile & marble hex tile to keep the space super light and bright, and may eventually paint the top half of the walls another color. We were able to square off the shower to make it a little bit bigger, and added a frameless glass enclosure. We used the pedestal sink from the other bathroom (the floral wallpaper one that needed a smaller sink) and an antique mirror that I found at a local flea here!
We are so happy with this before & after, and I can’t wait to keep adding to it!!!! Thanks as always for reading! XO

This is so pretty! Can I ask what the dimensions of the room are? We are getting ready to gut a tiny bathroom and I’ve been looking all over the internet for ideas of how to put it back together and this looks like it could work for us. Yanks for,the inspiration!
Love, love, love! We JUST finished our guest (basement) bathroom downstairs and I had the same issues photographing it (no natural light). I’m so inspired by all this lovely bright/white, and that bobby pins print might be just what ours is missing!
Love it – can you link the artwork?
the two on the side wall are Rifle Paper and the floral braid one is by Teil Duncan!
Since you mentioned possibly painting the top half of this bathroom eventually… Wouldn’t Claire’s old room’s green paint look so good in here?
This is exactly what I was thinking? I’m curious as well.
Thanks!
The room looks very nice. I have a question about the guest room’\family room. What happens when guests come visit ; where does your family watch tv or lounge around? I have the same problem with needing a place for guest , but no extra bedroom.
We spend most of our time in our main living room, its the center of the house and where we can all hang out and be right off the kitchen. This room is off to the back of the house so it’s easy to just let it be a guest space and not use it when we need to.
Love this! The top walls would look stunning in a dark/almost midnight navy!
It’s absolutely gorgeous! And isn’t that marble tile the best?? You’ll have to list sources on some of those details! Love it all!
I actually really like that walpaper! But wow, the bathroom does look so much better after the remodel. Y’all did such a great job!
Wow!! This is such an improvement!! I love how bright and airy it is.
Stunning as always, Garvins! You have such a beautiful vision with all of these spaces!

Beautiful!!! What do you get your shutters?
This is the prettiest bathroom and well done on maximizing its potential space! I love the simplicity and classic style!
Oh! I love it! Where did you get the tile? The hex and the subway pls! And how do you care for it? Is it hard to have marble on the floor or no? So pretty!
Where is the step stool from?
Pocket door!!! ?? I’m so jealous! My in-laws have several and I’ve been in love with them from first use! Bravo, beautiful bathroom!
I would seriously put them everywhere if I could, they save so much space and add a ton of character!
Any chance you could source some of the finishes. Thanks!
