Happy almost New Year, we hope you have been enjoying this wonderful week after Christmas! There is something so very magical about New Year’s Eve, all of the excitement & wonder about the new chapter that will begin at midnight. And while we have celebrated many years out on the town, we now look so forward to ringing in the New Year at home. We invite a few close friends & family over, enjoy some good food & tunes, and of course, pop some champagne!
We have teamed up once again with our friends at Jonathan Louis Furniture to bring you a little NYE inspiration, which starts with a cozy spot in front of the fireplace. Pulling together a few comfy chairs, like these luxurious Turner chairs, allows for the best conversation among friends. My husband would favor these high arm rests, while I would mostly drool over the beautiful jewel toned fabric. If you’re like us, a coffee table isn’t always an option, so a great upholstered bench in the center of the room is a perfect alternative for both kicking up your feet or using to set up your drinks, appetizers & games. It also doubles as a bench at the dinner table if extra seating is needed, which tends to always happen at our house. Throw on a record or one of your favorite movies (we love The Holiday!) and you are all set for a perfect New Year’s Eve at home. Don’t forget the noisemakers, sparklers or a good old fashioned kiss underneath the mistletoe at midnight!
And if you have kids and are looking for fun ways to involve them in NYE festivities, they could work on making fun party hats & celebrate “noon” years eve, confetti & balloon drop optional. I can’t wait to celebrate with our girls this year!
Would love to hear your NYE plans, do you have any fun plans or traditions for ringing in 2016?! Cheers, friends!! XO

Did you hear Netflix has a fake New Year's Eve count down?? Totally doing that this year! For myself as well…. No chance I'm staying up until midnight with my kiddo!! ?

Tonight will be our first celebrating NYE with a baby. At only 3 months she won't be joining in the celebrations but saying goodbye to 2015 and counting in the year ahead will be so much more emotional and exciting.
We'll be spending it over my brothers with family and friends playing Articulate and our made up game – The Name Game (super suited to larger groups – mine and impressions anyone?!) I look forward to your continued posts just as much as I do flitting back to your old ones for inspiration and recommendations. Best wishes to you and yours! Have a fab evening X

I always look forward to your holiday posts, new years eve is my favorite and we, too, are throwing a party at home. A record player is the cutest idea!!

Sigh….can 2016 be the year of getting back to writing hilarious anecdotes about your life and your family and not so much about stylings and things to buy? Because lets be honest, you're hilarious and that's why people follow you 😉
Happy New Year!!!!

I love that even though you have young kids you are still hosting a party! We have absolutely nothing planned but I wish that wasn't the case.

I love the "Noon Years Eve" idea, that's so cute!
Are you still working? If so, how do you manage with three little ones? Also, what do you make for dinner nowadays that pleases both you and Brandon as well as Harper and Eloise? My little one is a few months younger than Eloise and I always struggle to find something that isn't too time consuming and that we all like!

Will apply "noon" years eve next year for sure.
This year we did a gender reveal cake and invited over neighbors and family. We did the traditional countdown and kiss at midnight, then cut the cake to reveal that we'll be having a little girl in May.
