We celebrated Eloise’s first birthday this weekend with a little woodsy brunch. We yarn bombed some of the trees in our woods with some thrifted afghans, set up a play tent full of her toys & gifts, and hosted our close friends & family for some yummy breakfast treats. We had pastries, fruit & some grapefruit mimosas (sans champagne for most), and the largest, most delicious (and crooked) four layer chocolate birthday cake. Thanks to my mom for coming over at the crack of dawn to help me bake (and eat) & to all of our family who helped make it such a special day for Eloise!
Eloise loves sweets, she already had a little smash cake action on her actual birthday so she got just a small piece of chocolate cake that she still managed to destroy. Luckily we saved her dress from the mess! We snuck the cake away after a few bites in favor of her favorite food, a big slice of juicy watermelon, so there would be no tears! 😉 After cake, we got her all cleaned up & Harper “helped” open all of Eloise’s gifts, some new books, water/sand toys & ice cream bubbles.
It was the perfect way to celebrate miss Eloise, our littlest wild thing that loves nothing more than snacks, snuggles & sunshine! Happy birthday most beautiful darling, we love you so incredibly much!!!

What an enchanting celebration! Eloise's expressions kill me! I can totally relate to the older one "helping" the younger one open presents, they always have to get in on the action. Of course your guests wouldn’t know of what you have in your mind regarding gifts, which is why if you are specific about what gifts you are willing to accept for your kids do not forget to mention it on the Baby shower invitation cards.
