We had such a fun weekend, prepping for the holiday week & getting a good dose of Christmas music along the way. We dropped the girls off at my parents first thing Saturday morning & headed out to do some Christmas shopping for the girls. We stopped for waffles & coffee first, of course, then got on our way to pick out lots of goodies for friends & family. It was so much fun buying for the girls this year, we keep their gifts to a minimum but we got a little crazy with stocking stuffers! Which definitely meant I had to hang them!! 😉 It’s a little bit Christmas & a little bit Thanksgiving in our house, but I think I like it that way!! We grabbed 5 Guys on the way home & were definitely missing the girls after a few hours away.
Saturday night, I co-hosted a Thanksgiving entertaining workshop at the new West Elm in Atlanta. We did some fun table settings & place cards, then had some dessert & did a little shopping. It was a lot of fun & totally put me in the mindset of having an extra festive tablescape this year!
Sunday we went on our weekly Target adventure, Harper is a boss at helping put away groceries once we get home. Or at least she loves making herself comfortable on top of them. We took the girls to play at the trampoline park, Harper’s favorite place of all time, then cooked up some of Brandon’s self-proclaimed famous chili, before kicking back to watch the AMAs after the girls were in bed. Not a bad way to end the weekend!
I can’t wait for this week’s festivities! The girls were up at the crack of dawn today so we made use of the extra few hours by making cinnamon butter for Thanksgiving dinner. I always make a bunch (8 sticks worth, which fills 12 small mason jars), so that we can give some to friends & make sure that all guests get to take some home. It’s so damn addicting, I may have eaten four pieces of toast already this morning.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving Week!!! XO
